22 But the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit (the work which His presence within accomplishes) is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law (that can bring a charge). Galatians 5:22-23 AMPC
As I go about my daily walk this is what I aim for throughout the day. Living by the fruit of the spirit and demonstrating love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. It first starts at home and moves out into the community, so as I go to the grocery store or on a walk, I strive to demonstrate what we call the “fruit of the spirit”. When we ask God to let our shine so that He can be glorified in the works that we do, people should be able to look at us and see the way we live by our actions and attitude.
Am I demonstrating the fruit of the spirit by the way I act, what about the way I speak, what about my family are they demonstrating the fruit of the spirit as they go about their day. I absolutely do encourage you to look at your situations and see if the fruit of the spirit is being demonstrated in your life.
I know that I experience it all the time. Let me share an example with you, last week I went to the grocery store and as I was just done cashing out an employee at the store came up to the cash and handed me a lavender plant and said, “This is for you, Happy Mother’s Day”! I was so stunned as she was paying for it, I had to ask her “This is for me?”, she replied “yes”! I was completely blown away by her kindness, love and goodness that I thanked her a few times with tears in my eyes.
See even with all the fear in the world right now people are still loving, they are still kind, they still spread joy, peace, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, patience, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
How will you demonstrate the fruit of the spirit in you life? Or what kind thing did someone do for you?
Share your stories in the comment box, I would love to hear them! Remember God loves you, we are not alone! We will overcome this season!
Enjoy your day!
